A little history about our building.

Many years ago, (some of us can remember) the highways in the South were dotted with Stucky's. Mr. Horne was a candy salesman who made his living selling to all of those stores. Then one day, Stucky's decided to make their own candy, which in essence, gave Mr. Horne the boot. Well, what is a candy salesman to do? Mr. Horne opened up his own chain, fashioning it after Stucky's, selling gifts, gasoline, good food and, of course, candy. The headquarters was in Florida, and soon stores opened up along major roads headed North. Horne's and Stucky's thrived side by side. Read more history at site below.

Guest entering the Waffle House of America will enjoy a G-scale train which chugs throughout the dining area. The question is often asked who enjoys it more--the kids or adults.

The word is getting around to the travelers at least stop and use the restroom even if they don't eat.  The ladies room has a hand painted counter top, piano music and roses painted on the toilet seats.  many women have smuggled their husbands in to see it (only if the coast is clear).
We have been told it's the prettiest restroom in Michigan.  In 2004 it won 5th best restroom in America.
